Coleman is Lancashire-born. She attended Arnold School Blackpool as head girl, and she received the highest marks in her A-level exams. As she discussed her Emmerdale character, Coleman expressed regret for having not attended a university. Coleman performed on Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival in a troupe called In Yer Space, which she participated in while at the school. A prize was given to her for the presentation, while the show itself received a favorable reception. When she was auditioning for drama schools, Coleman got the role as Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. In 2007 Coleman was nominated for two awards. At the British Soap Awards she was named Best Newcomer, and in the National Television Awards she was nominated as The Most Popular Newcomer. Coleman was awarded nominations for Best Actress, Sexiest Woman and for the Best Dramatic Performance during the British Soap Awards 2009. Coleman won a TV Choice Award for Best Actress. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on March 21, 2012 that Coleman was set to portray Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other characters have left the show. Moffat selected her because of the ease with which she worked with Smith and also because she spoke faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the field since 1987, and has appeared in various TV shows and films. But she's been more well-known on television rather than in movies. Eva is most well-known for her work as Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and as the detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami. The part as Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children earned her the two Daytime Emmy nominations. This allowed her to show off her musical talent. Eva is an entrepreneur and also an actress. She has been married three times, and has a daughter who is with her second husband.
