Coleman was raised in Blackpool, Lancashire. She attended Arnold School in Blackpool. As headgirl, she earned straight A marks in her A Levels. When discussing her Emmerdale appearance, Coleman admitted regrets that she did not go to university. Coleman, while still at high school, was part of a theatrical company called In Yer Space. They performed the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. A prize was given to her for the performance, while the play was received well. Coleman got the Emmerdale character Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with Drama schools. Coleman was nominated twice in the year 2007. In 2007 Coleman was nominated for two awards, The British Soap Awards as the Most Popular Newcomer and also the National Television Awards as the most Popular. It was the British Soap Awards 2009 nominated Coleman in categories: Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine and Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman received a nomination for Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March press conference in 2012 that Coleman will portray Matt Smith's character after Karen Gillan left. Moffat chose her for the role due to her being the most efficient in her interactions with Smith and could speak more rapidly than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Elle has been in the world of film since 1987. However, she is better known for TV projects instead of films. Eva was in a number of roles on television, but two stand out in particular: Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as Detective Natalia Boa Vistas for CSI Miami. The first role she played on TV earned her the show two Daytime Emmy nominations, and gave her the opportunity to explore the love of music in her. Eva is an entrepreneur, and also an actress. She has been married thrice and is the mother of a child from her second husband.
