Julia Fiona Roberts, born on October 28, 1967, at Atlanta to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. Her grandfather, her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer who was also one of the first Roberts to settle in Atlanta. Her father's passion for theatre was inherited by her. in theater from a young stage. When he was a college student studying at Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he took part in several performances. He joined the air force in 1953 and, while working in Biloxi Mississippi was cast in the military's production, which featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was also in the Air force. Eric Anthony was their first born. The couple was married in the year 1957. In 1957 the couple left the Air Force and Walter was enrolled at Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. Walter joined Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio when the family moved from Atlanta to Decatur, Georgia in 1960. Walter and Betty Lou began producing a children's television program in the city of Decatur, Georgia titled Bum Bum and His Buddies. They funded the show by themselves. They founded an Actors and Writers Workshop in the year 1964, and it was in operation for a period of 6 years. They welcomed in 1965 two children to the family: Lelisa Billingsley and Julia Billingsley.
