Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born on the 14th of March 1997 in Columbus, Ohio U.S.A. She was the first female gymnast from America ever to win four gold medals at a single Games. At Rio de Janeiro, she was also the first female to win consecutive World All-Around titles. Biles together with her siblings Adria as well as her brother Ronald Biles were taken in as infants by their grandparents from Houston. Simone was first introduced to gymnastics by her daycare instructor Aimee Borman when she was six years old. She stayed at Bannon's Gymnastix for eleven years. Biles was awarded a gold medal in floor exercises and also a bronze in vault during the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010, before advancing to the elite competition in 2011. In less than two years, she became the top athlete in her field. Biles was notable by her consistent performance, her enthusiastic attitude as well as the amount of effort she introduced in each event--vault, uneven bars the balance beam, and the ground work.
